DPS MIS was represented by Akshay Malhotra, Ankita Goswami, D Apoorva, Dhruv Relwani, Farha Khan, Krupa Modi, Neel Palwankar, S Sabari Ram, Vane Swetah and Vatsal Patel. They represented Ethiopia and Japan in various committees like General Assembly I, II and III, World Economic Forum and Human Resource Committee.

DIAMUN is a THIMUN (The Hague International Model United Nations) affiliated conference, in which students are given the opportunity to hone their talents, skills and aptitudes as ambassadors of member-states of the United Nations. In a Model United Nations, such as DIAMUN 2011, students learn vital skills in research, writing, speaking, consensus building and conflict resolution as they step into the role of delegates for the countries they represent. Students have a forum to discuss global concerns in a context that closely parallels the real world.

Around 416 future global leaders representing 28 schools from nine countries, gathered at DIAMUN 2011 between March 23 and 26. This year's DIAMUN was held under the theme "The Advancement of Technology". This theme was used as a vehicle to discuss the impact of technology on topics such as: disarmament and international security; social, humanitarian and cultural concerns; and issues surrounding the economic and financial health of the world community.

From the beginning to the end of the conference, the DPS delegates caught attention of everyone present with their clarity of concept on complex global issues, their depth of knowledge and their acerbic debating skills. Mr. Karl Mythen, THIMUN board member, clearly impressed with the delegates, welcomed and invited DPS MIS to participate in The Hague International Model United Nations Conference in its next session.

At the end of the conference, DPSMIS delegate Dhruv Relwani was adjudged as the Best Delegate in his committee. Delegates D Apoorva, Krupa Modi, Farha Khan and Ankita Goswami were appreciated by their respective chairs.

It is of note that DPS MIS participated in Qatar Model United Nations last November where Dhruv Relwani outshone again to become the Best Delegate. The school also participated in Georgetown Model United Nations where Krupa Modi became the best delegate and Dhruv Relwani and Chahak Bhalla were awarded honorable mentions. Deeksha Singh was recognized as the ‘most hard working delegate’. The Indian Ambassador to Qatar HE Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa congratulated the entire DPSMIS team on their moment of glory.

The delegates of DPS MIS are all set to fly to New York in May to attend the GCI Model United Nations Conference to be held in the United Nations Headquarters under the aegis of United Nations.
